Pied de doe opens a boutique dedicated to its imperfect pieces

The French shoe brand Pied de Biche has opened its first outlet at 5 rue Commines, in the 3rd arrondissement of . This new point of sale, next to the brand's historic boutique, offers pieces that have small aesthetic imperfections linked, for example, to the vagaries of transport or customer fittings.

This new space embodies more than ever our desire to anchor ourselves in ever more responsible fashion by giving a second life to our almost perfect pieces. You will also be able to discover pairs which have small, minimal production imperfections which do not correspond to the initial request of our stylists but which nevertheless rigorously respect our quality charter. In the majority of cases it is a poorly embossed logo, a wrong color of leather,” explains Matthieu Neirinck who founded Pied de Biche with Jérôme Maître.

With the opening of this first 35 square meter outlet inaugurated in mid-October, Pied de Biche now has nine own stores. Launched in 2015, the brand has cultivated a direct sales model since its beginnings. Discreet about its turnover, the independent label whose headquarters is in indicated that it had experienced growth of 50% in 2023 and is counting on a similar trajectory for 2024.

Note that the founders of Pied de doe also own Maradji, a brand of leather goods and fashion accessories founded in 2014 by Delphine Lopez, the wife of Matthieu Neirinck. A claw that develops on the opposite model to that of Pied de doe, namely the wholesale.
