Two projects located in the department were selected by the State to receive financial support as part of the fund for accelerating the ecological transition in the territories.

This measure, worth 70 million euros at the national level, aims to support and accelerate the ecological transition of industrial territories and rethink our modes of production.

The winning projects are carried out by the following actors:

  • AEROMAT INDUSTRIES – Lot-et-Garonne (47)

The investment project carried out by Aeromat Industries provides for the construction of a new workshop and the acquisition of production equipment for the manufacture of parts for the railway, offshore wind, hydraulic energy and nuclear. These investments will lead to a reduction in significant raw material consumption of up to 115 tonnes of titanium per year.

The project was subsidized to the tune of €293,400 for a total budget of €1,467,000

  • PLASTINOV – Lot-et-Garonne (47)

The project led by Plastinov, a Carboman Group company specializing in the production of technical parts in composite materials, includes significant investments in process equipment for the production of parts for sail-powered vessels and the reduction of the mass of parts for light aviation. This new equipment will result in a division by 5 of the electrical energy consumption of the process and a 90% reduction in the volume of plastic waste destined for landfill.

The project was subsidized to the tune of €400,605 for a total budget of €3,148,000.

The winners submitted an application as part of the Green Fund’s “industry territories in ecological transition” measure. This system is part of the new generation of industrial territories (2023-2027) and in the context of the green industry law.

About the Green Fund measure “industry territories in ecological transition” :

Accelerating the ecological transition and reindustrialization of are two of the major national priorities : it is by relocating value chains and developing the industry of tomorrow (recycling, biosourced materials and textiles, new mobility, renewable energies, etc.) that France will be able to produce the goods and services necessary to transform and decarbonize its economy, preserve the environment and better manage resources (land, water, materials, etc.), strengthen national sovereignty and create jobs, for the benefit of social and territorial cohesion.

Through the national reindustrialization strategy and the Green Industry lawit is about making France the champion of reindustrialization in Europe, by developing both the new sectors of tomorrow and by working on the ecological transition of industrial sectors already present in the territory.

This objective is part of the ecological planning policy with targets set in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions (-55% in 2030 compared to 1990 and carbon neutrality in 2050), adapting to the consequences of climate change, preserving and restoring biodiversity (1.4 million hectares to be restored), preservation of resources (-10% water consumption) and reduction of pollution which impacts health.

The implementation of the plan is based in particular on a close association of territories, including all levels of communities, and economic sectors. Achieving these objectives of reindustrialization and ecological planning thus requires strengthening territorialization.. Local authorities indeed have a key role to play, through their skills, their knowledge of local issues and their proximity to industrial players, to support and develop sustainable productive systems, whether by supporting the structuring of local sectors. , by working on the match between skills needs and the training offer, by developing new circular economy models, by providing a response in terms of housing and living environment, etc.

With this in mind, France announced the relaunch and strengthening of the Territories of Industry program for the period 2023-2027, with new means (animation, engineering and project financing) and renewed priorities (skills, innovation, ecological and land transition), including in particular the present measure of the Green Fund endowed with 70 million euros in order to support and accelerate the ecological transition of industrial territories and rethink our modes of production.
