Where did you meet your lover?

Isabelle, a listener from Irodouër in Ille-et-Vilaine, tells the story of her parents. “They met during 'classes' that we held in the communities before and which brought together young people of the same age. My mother arrived a little late for the group photo. My father, standing on the last stage, came down, held out his hand and invited her to join everyone. They never left each other again and it’s been more than fifty years.”

“I met the man who would become my husband at 2 ½ years old”

Véronique in Saint Lormel in the Côtes d'Armor smiles as she tells her story. “I first saw the man who would become my husband when I was two and a half years old. He was big, he was seven years old. It was at a wedding and we were in the world of childhood. We met again years later, as adults. We got married and we're still together.

“It happened at the ball”

Josette and Colette both found love at the ball. “It was July 14,” said the latter, “I was about to leave, a young man arrived and I told myself that if he came to meet me, I would stay. He came straight to pick me up to dance. He became my husband a year later.”
Fabien experienced love at first sight. “It was in a waiting room. I was immediately attracted by a woman accompanied by her daughter. I was a paramedic, she a nurse. She told me “I'm divorced, I have four children, move on.” It’s been 6 years, we’ve been together and we’re getting married in two years.”
