At La Beaujoire, FC has its legendary stand

They had to choose sixteen names from 38 emblematic players in the history of FC . This summer, between August 21 and 25, 10,000 supporters voted to nominate the legends of the Yellow and Green. Before the OM reception, the club inaugurated the sixteen frescoes of the winners. Imagined by the Nantes graphic designer Ptitecao, whose visuals and style appealed to the NBA, they now cover the pillars of the Océane stand.

Three coaches (Arribas, Suaudeau and Denoueix) are represented. “I didn't think about what that could say about the identity of the club, underlined the coach with two French championship titles. I think more about the relationship with the supporters. It brings back lots of memories for me, but I don't want to dwell too much on the nostalgia. »

The 83 and 95 generations are also well represented (Bossis, Halilhodzic, Amisse, Bertrand-Demanes; Landreau, Pedros, Loko, Karembeu, N'Doram). Enter, Henri Michel, Didier Deschamps and Marcel Desailly find a place for themselves. In the modern era, Emiliano Sala is the only one to appear in the ranking. Time has also done its work, forgetting Robert Budzynski (23e) Philippe Gondet (24e), behind Nicolas Pallois (21e) or Antoine Kombouaré (20e).
