Temperatures are exceptionally mild this month of November in the south of France. The French take the opportunity to swim and eat ice cream. But some are worried about the heat at this time of year.
20 degrees in Draguignan, 21 degrees in Nice, 22 degrees in Aix-en-Provence and up to 25 degrees in La Ciotat, eight degrees higher than seasonal norms. The temperatures are particularly mild this month of November in the south of France.
And with seas at nearly 20 degrees, the French are taking advantage of this summer which is playing into overtime. “We have the beautiful sun, we have the sea, we have the beautiful view: frankly we are good!”, rejoices a woman, speaking to BFMTV.
However, some are concerned about these abnormal temperatures. “I don’t know if it’s very good for the ecology, but overall for those who are on vacation it’s pure happiness,” admits a man, sunglasses screwed on his head.
“It’s a bit surprising this heat for the time of year, isn’t it?”, asks another resident. “I have the impression that there is a summer season and a winter season. There is no longer spring and autumn. It scares me,” says a young girl.
On the merchant side, this is a record during this period. The terraces are full. After swimming, locals and tourists alike rush to the glacier. “We hadn’t planned this much,” assures Latifa, ice maker at “Péché Glacé”.
These summer temperatures will continue all week in the south of France.
