After taking over the family property around ten years ago, Daniel Duclos, designer of the Toucan nacelle, saw life from another anglenear Saint-Barthélemy-d'Agenais, in Lot-et-Garonne.

The 35 years of industry and business management have given way to a return to the sources. Include an expanse of 45 ha of nature where peacocks, chickens, flocks of sheep and goats live peacefully, and soon to be collected, 5 Dexter cows and their bull.

Livestock and tourism

Also in the livestock, bees from Ruchers du Sud-Ouest, with honey sales and training courses by beekeeper Daniel Duclos, and black pigs from Domaine des Peyries.

A breeding of pampered Gascony pigs, for high-end production that this gentleman farmer happily sells at farmers' markets, at the on-site shop (Friday afternoon), in the Casiers de St-Barth, or at the Marmandaise boutique at Fermes de Garonne; a boutique that he initiated within an association of which he is today president.

But besides animals and wide open spaces, Daniel Duclos likes to entertain and cook.

A private room

Hence 5 rooms with table d'hôte, and therefore a farm inn which was inaugurated Saturday October 26, 2024 in the presence of the mayors of Saint Barthélemy and Castelnau-sur-Gupie who appreciated “this warm and comfortable place”.

It can in fact accommodate 10 to 50 people in a room overlooking a large awningwith professional kitchen for home-cooked meals including farm products of course.

A place that meets requests for an average number of guests at family receptions, associations, seminars or company meals.

And diversification for bring the area to life outside the tourist season.

Knowing that the owner of the place is not stingy with visits, the farm inn can also offer a digestive walk across the domain.
