The Saint-Éman chapel is hosting the exhibition by visual artist Silvia Naddeo, until September. She explores the link between mosaic and food, as part of the Chemin des Arts.

The association Les 3R and the City of Chartres are hosting the works of Italian artist Silvia Naddeo at the Saint-Éman chapel until September, with her exhibition entitled “Super”, offered as part of the Chemin des Arts.

Visual artist, Silvia Naddeo merges her artistic experience with the theme of food and studies the socio-cultural aspects associated with it, around mosaic, sculpture and new media.

Born in Rome in 1984, Silvia Naddeo graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna in 2008. She completed her training with the mosaic specialization course.

“Awareness”

Silvia Naddeo is a winner of the National Prize for the Arts in 2010, the Starting Point Prize in 2011 and the Domenico Ghidoni International Sculpture Prize in 2015. Her works have been exhibited in Italy and Russia. She teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts Santa Giulia in Brescia and, in 2019, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ravenna.

Its exhibition at the Saint-Éman chapel was inaugurated a few days ago. The artist was unable to travel to Chartres for personal reasons. Jean-Marie Burton, responsible for mosaic exhibitions at the Les 3R association, says: “With a variety of materials, Silvia Naddeo explores the link between mosaic and food, offering a shared sensory experience. Its exhibition encourages social reflection and awareness.”

Practical. “Super” exhibition by Silvia Naddeo, Friday to Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m., until September 15, at the Saint-Éman chapel, 11, rue Saint-Éman. FREE ENTRANCE.
