100 villages in the South-West

The synopsis of the book by Philippe Roy

Squares lined with arcades or plane trees, alleys, terraces, quays, promontories: the villages of our South-West, whether stone or brick, have a rich past to reveal and a lot of charm to offer.

But it is not just about old stones: it is also a question, in this work wonderfully illustrated by the photos of Philippe Roy, of the way in which villages face modernity: initiatives are needed so that these villages live!

Whether it is the monolithic church of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, the dizzying gorges of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, the circular market hall of Auvillar or the Villeréal market, they invite us to discover. What if that’s where the adventure was?

We've chosen 100 from a much wider range, challenging your curiosity and spirit of adventure.
