And six who make only three or even two and maintain a place in the French team. Union Bordeaux-Bègles player Yoram Moefana was suspended for three weeks this Thursday for a dangerous tackle in the Top 14 and will therefore be able to participate in the matches of the French XV in November.
The international center (28 caps) was excluded during the clash against La Rochelle on October 20 and was found guilty of “dangerous play” by the disciplinary committee of the National Rugby League.
Except that the sanction of six weeks of suspension was halved, in particular due to a “clean disciplinary record” but also the “youth and inexperience” of the 24-year-old player, according to the decision.
His suspension therefore runs until November 10, the day after the first of the three November matches of the French XV, against Japan. But Moefana could even play this first meeting. Because this duration could be reduced by another week if Moefana participates, as he requested, in the Head Contact Process, a technical tackling system put in place by World Rugby. He would then qualify from Japan.
The player was called into the first list of 42 players by coach Fabien Galthié to prepare for the November matches, but was released to the club like 18 others on Wednesday.
