Defend the “duty to remember”

Pleaux.
Veterans defend the duty of memory.

The general assembly of veterans and war victims of Pleaux, Saint-Christophe and Tourniac took place recently in the presence of twelve participants, including two youngest from external operations (OPEX). This assembly was an opportunity for Robert Neige, the president, to offer a thought for Robert Besson, Jean Baduel and André Puyraimond, members who died in 2024. The association will continue to organize patriotic ceremonies in collaboration with the town hall, the Christmas for widows and the sick, participation in the 2024 Telethon, support for the college’s memory projects, and establishes its desire to perpetuate any event in the direction of safeguarding memory. Gaston Bornes, the treasurer, attests to the good financial health of the association and thanks the municipality for their annual municipal subsidy and the deputy Jean-Yves Bony for the exceptional aid allocated, which made it possible to almost settle the renewal of the Tourniac flag . The question of the future of the association in the face of health difficulties and the age of those responsible was also raised, and Régis Pebreuil, Jean-Luc Ricros and Dominique Gardelle, the youngest members of external operations, would agree to work in conjunction with the town hall to continue the projects undertaken. The organization of the ceremony on November 11 was discussed, the schedule will be fixed in the coming days.
