The Diace aluminum foundry, located in Vayrac, is today the flagship of the MH Industries group managed since 2011 by Matthieu Hède, son of Jean-Paul Hède, creator of Diace in 1977. During a company visit organized by Cauvaldor Expansion, Matthieu Hède presented MH Industries and outlined its objectives.

Today MH Industries has seven sites, including the purchase in March 2024 of an aluminum foundry in the north of . There are also 370 people, including 230 in , including 120 in Vayrac, €38 million in turnover, 20% of which is exported. “Since 2015, our main development objective has been external growth. We are considering one or two operations every year, particularly in machining and design office, in the industrial mechanics and subcontracting sectors. industrial, to reach €100 million in turnover in 2030″, says Matthieu Hède. He repeats the principle that he has always rigorously applied: no market greater than 20% of turnover and no customer greater than 15%. MH Industries has 700 customers, “life insurance” for the group. As an equipment manufacturer offering a global offer, from the study of the project to the delivery of a painted and assembled part, thanks to the know-how mastered across all entities, the group is present in numerous sectors: defense , aeronautics “growth but no reliability”, railway, building “more resilience for renovation but the new market is falling”, electronics, energy, agriculture, automobile…

Concerning more specifically the Diace in Vayrac and its specific problems (difficult access, accommodation), Matthieu Hède explains that it is necessary to continually upgrade the machines, or even bring them forward “despite the regulatory constraints which are sometimes difficult to respect even on new machines, this involves 10% of turnover in investments.”

Matthieu Hède mentioned Cauvaldor Expansion, the aim of which is to promote local industrialists on the regional and national territory. “In the Cauvaldor area, there is a large concentration of high-level companies but, far from , far from the heart!” For the MH Industries group, the maximum size as an equipment manufacturer is to reach between €150 and €200 million without jeopardizing the sustainability of the company and a profitability of 15% “with all-round diversification”.

Regarding the governance of the company, Matthieu Hède specifies that it is constantly evolving and that each major site is managed by a pair. While he is attentive to respecting the values necessary for the group’s development, its CEO is very attentive to the well-being of his employees.
