The EU and Morocco united to promote sustainable investments and strengthen their Strategic Partnership – Le7tv.ma

As part of the Strategic Partnership between Morocco and the European Union, Patricia Llombart, the Ambassador of the European Union to Morocco, met this Friday with Ali Seddiki, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE). This meeting, placed under the sign of cooperation and economic dynamism, aimed to explore investment opportunities and strengthen the partnership between the two parties.

The European Union and Morocco, already linked by historic cooperation, thus reaffirm their mutual commitment to promoting sustainable investments, essential to supporting inclusive and environmentally friendly economic growth. Ali Seddiki highlighted Morocco’s major assets, notably its strategic geographical position, its modern infrastructure and its legal framework attractive to foreign investors. He also underlined the importance of AMDIE in supporting investors and exporters, by offering tailor-made services and facilitating access to various promising sectors such as renewable energies, the automobile industry, aeronautics. , or even agro-industry.

For her part, Patricia Llombart welcomed Morocco’s continued efforts in terms of economic reforms and improvement of the business climate. She recalled the European Union’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom in its sustainable development ambitions, while strengthening common initiatives promoting job creation and shared prosperity.

The two parties thus agreed to intensify their cooperation within the framework of the European Green Deal, with particular emphasis on investments in sectors linked to the energy and ecological transition. The promotion of Moroccan SMEs on the European market and the strengthening of the export capacities of Moroccan companies were also at the heart of the discussions.

This meeting marks a new stage in the Morocco-European Union partnership, placing sustainable investment at the heart of priorities. The two parties thus aspire to create a prosperous business ecosystem, capable of generating added value and strengthening Morocco’s competitiveness on the international scene. By joining forces, the EU and Morocco are working hand in hand for a common future based on prosperity, sustainability and economic resilience.
