A house on fire and a wanted victim in Astaffort

A house was on fire, the fire risked spreading to two adjoining homes. The firefighters, around forty, also had to search for a potential victim inside and despite their efforts, their searches were still in vain last night.

Operations continued until late at night.

The search was made long and difficult given the presence of numerous rubble and difficulties in penetrating the interior of the completely burned home.

Around 3 a.m., the fire was finally under control. But the victim, a lady around 80 years old, had still not been found.

The disaster clearance operations will remain long and delicate.

“46 firefighters were mobilized at the height of the event, supported in particular by a thermal vision drone. A command post was also activated to coordinate the emergency response, thus preventing the fire from spreading to adjoining houses.
