An announcement that concerns all of Tarn-et-Garonnais. This Thursday October 17 in the morning, the prefect of Tarn-et-Garonne Vincent Roberti announced that the department is placed in vigilance orangetoday, due to a risk of “rain-flood“.

Heavy rain accumulations expected

While this phenomenon should appear in the Tarn-et-Garonnais sky early in the afternoonVincent Roberti indicated that “expected rainfall totals are 40 to 60 millimeters, and locally 70 to 80 millimeters“.

According to Météo-, the official meteorology and climatology service, wind gusts from west to northwest could reach 55 kilometers per hour late afternoon.

Sustained rain is expected in the department until the middle of the night from Thursday to Friday,” detailed the prefect of Tarn-et-Garonne.

Yellow alert for the “thunderstorms” phenomenon
