Floods: Urssaf has activated emergency measures

Like the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Seine-et- (CCI 77), the Union for the Recovery of Social Security Contributions and Family Allowances (Urssaf) of Île-de- deployed a set of emergency measures following the devastating floods of October 9 and 10.

These measures concern in particular employers who are temporarily unable to submit their returns due to weather damage. Urssaf informs them that they will not be penalized. Contribution deadlines may, in fact, be postponed, while penalties and late payment surcharges will be automatically remitted.

To benefit from these measures, employers can contact Urssaf Île-de-France via their secure messaging or by calling 39 57 (choose option 3). Requests must be made within four weeks.

Up to 2,000 euros for active self-employed people

Affected self-employed workers also have the possibility of requesting the postponement of their contribution deadlines. To benefit from it, they must also contact Urssaf IDF via the same channels as employers. However, the special number changes: it is 36 98 (option 0).

For his part, the Council for Social Protection of Self-Employed Workers (CPSTI) also offers emergency assistance to the self-employed. This takes the form, under certain conditions, of financial assistance of up to 2,000 euros. Upon receipt of the form, the payment period is 15 days.

This emergency plan is aimed at active self-employed workers (craftsmen, traders and liberal professions) except medical practitioners and auxiliaries and active retirees (the latter must contact Retirement Insurance), as well as active self-employed people (business main only).

Proof of obligatory expenses

This emergency aid can be paid in the context of reaching professional premises, production tools or the user’s main residence if this is the company’s headquarters.

Even if the procedure has already been triggered, recognition of a natural disaster is not necessary to benefit from this aid. There are also no resource requirements.

Requests (accompanied by a form available on the secu-independants.fr website and a bank identity statement) must be made within four weeks. They must be sent by email (from your connected space) or by post to the Urssaf Île-de-France headquarters located in .

Finally, the last element which is important: supporting documents corresponding to the reality of the expenses incurred or work carried out must be provided within six months of payment of the aid. Otherwise, the aid must be reimbursed.
