Final of the Departmental Trophy: CS Quéven (D1) – AS Ménimur (D1): 1-2

Facing his audience, Quéven quickly found the opening through Ronan Le Coupanec (1-0, 5′). The opener put Ménimur in the match, who exerted a lot of offensive pressure with a high block. Making their highlights come true, Ménimur got the equalizer just before the break on a cross header from Jordan Foulon (1-1, 39′) receiving a free kick. The Quévenois were caught cold upon returning from the locker room by a goal from Césair Gandze (1-2, 48′). At the end of the debate, if the Quévenois were pressing, they were imprecise or came up against a goalkeeper from Ménimur, Sofian Chafik imperial (78′, 85′, 87′ and 90’+2). “We have the opportunities at the end but we lack efficiency in front of goal. We didn’t play a big part of the match and we didn’t get into the match well after the locker room. The level overall was interesting and we will have to reproduce that on Sunday to maintain our position,” warns Arnaud Aldeguer, Quéven’s coach. “If we had a good, controlled first half, we didn’t take shelter and we dropped in physical level in the second half. We have another final to play on Sunday with a move up to R3 to be achieved,” underlines Ménimur coach Sébastien Mahé who will take charge of the first team in R2 next season.
