As part of the rapprochement between the Moroccan and Chinese academic world, the Higher School of Textile and Clothing Industries-ESITH signed a memorandum of understanding with Donghua Unoversity, based in Shanghai.
The first face-to-face meeting between the two establishments took place during the visit of a delegation of leaders from Donghua University to ESITH at the end of June 2024, led by Professor Qiu Yiping, dean of the College of Textiles.
The agreement provides for collaboration on the following areas.
- Promote high-quality educational and training programs for students and faculty members of the two universities through international exchange activities;
- Establish joint research projects on subjects or areas of mutual interest;
- Welcoming each other’s teachers as guest researchers for conferences and short training courses.
- Exchange students for studies or short-term training.
This partnership, the first for ESITH with a Chinese university, is between two leading establishments in their respective countries in the fields of textiles and clothing. On the one hand, ESITH, with its state engineering, Master’s and license level programs. On the other hand, Donghua University, founded in 1951, enjoys a high reputation in the disciplines of textile engineering, material science, and design and fashion. The university offers bachelor’s and master’s programs in its 13 schools and colleges.
