Can’t believe that teachers from the Maghreb use teaching methods that have nothing to do with those put forward in Quebec?
That is to say: physical abuse? Punishments that seem to come from another age?

QUEBEC? UGH!
There are two kinds of immigrants. There are those who integrate and say to themselves: “In Quebec, we do like the Quebecers.”
And those who take Quebec for a hotel and who continue to live as they did in their country of origin.
The teachers who were part of the “dominant clan” at the Bedford School belong to the second category.
They look at Quebec and say to themselves: “Ugh! We will never embrace the values of this culture! Quebecers are too stupid, too soft! Too much on their knees before their children, not religious enough, too weak towards their wives, not authoritarian enough, not severe enough, too complacent towards homosexuals, trans people and other deviants!”
Let’s not mince our words: they despise our culture and our ways of doing things.
Period.
It’s funny, I would never immigrate to a country whose values I don’t share. I would be too unhappy.
But it seems that for some immigrants (note the word “some”) this is not a problem.
A host country, for them, is just a place where you drop off your suitcases and pitch your tent. Once you arrive, you do what you want.
And you raise your children (and, if you are a teacher or daycare educator, those of others) the way you want.

They are not coming to Quebec, but to Canada!
And in Canada (especially in Justin Trudeau’s Canada), that’s how it works.
Each community locked in its original culture!

In Canada, we live next to each other.
This is the kingdom of multiculturalism! The “world’s first post-national country”!
If it had been “native Quebecois” teachers who had behaved in this way towards children, we have every reason to believe that things would have moved a lot faster!
But there, they were “racialized” teachers.

Members of the school staff were invited to participate in “a workshop on living better together and intercultural relations”!
And we sent an “interculturalism advisor”!
In short, we walked on eggshells and put on white gloves that went up to the elbows, so as not to offend anyone’s sensibilities.
It took the broadcast of a report on 98.5 for things to suddenly start to move.

In France, more and more neighborhoods no longer obey the laws of the Republic, but those of “the country”.
Teachers can no longer address certain topics in class, and can no longer teach certain subjects.
It is the fundamentalists who lead…
