Fear for the residents of a building in 18th district. A fire causing one injury broke out on Sunday October 13, 2024, in the north of Paris, the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) reported to Paris news. The fire broke out in an apartment. Of the dozens of firefighters were deployed on site.

The fire brought under control

The events took place around “8:50 a.m.”, Sunday, at 52 rue-Philippe-de-Girard. Thick clouds of smoke emanated from a home located on the “6th floor” of a seven-story building. Twenty vehicles were mobilized. In total, 50 firefighters were present on the scene. According to the BSPP, one person was “slightly intoxicated » during the fire. The latter was “controlled using a spear”, specifies the institution on the social network X.

The origin of this fire has not been communicated. The central laboratory of the Paris Police Prefecture (LCPP) was seized. Last July, the 18th arrondissement was also hit by a more violent fire. A person was dead and seven others injured in the Barbès district. An investigation was opened to “search for the causes of death”.
