The -Atlantique prefecture bans raves, free parties and teknivals from October 11 to 14

In a press release dated Friday October 11, the prefecture announced that “all festive gatherings of a musical nature” are prohibited, by order, until Monday October 14.

In a press release, dated Friday October 11, the prefecture cites “serious risks to public safety and health” to prohibit “festive gatherings of a musical nature”. The prefectural decree, valid from Friday, October 11, 3 p.m. and valid until Monday, October 14, noon, therefore prohibits any rave party, free-party or teknival type gathering throughout the -Atlantique department.

Material may be confiscated

To be able to stop possible organizers before their installation, stopping it goes further by also prohibiting the circulation of vehicles transporting sound equipment linked to these festive events.

Failure to comply with this order may result in criminal prosecution and confiscation of the equipment.
