Brittany remains a sensitive subject in Nantes. Should the city and the department to which it belongs be attached to the region? Brittany rather than to Pays-de-la-Loire ? The answer is yes for the Bretagne Réunie association.

It is with this aim that she is organizing, with other Breton associations and the Breton Party, a demonstration in support of “reunification” this Saturday October 12, 2024.

A whole day of mobilization

The appointment is given at 10 a.m. at the entrances to the Loire-Atlantique department:

• rest area at Marzan (Route de Vannes);
• Puceul stopping area (Route de Rennes);
• Vallet carpooling area (Route de Clisson) for the Nantais Vineyard;
• Port-Saint-Père carpooling area (3 Rue des Épinettes) for the Pays de Retz;
• Leclerc d’Ancenis car park (Route de Nantes).

The convoy will then go to “vers the cours Saint-Pierre, behind the cathedral” where will be installedfrom noonfood trucks and entertainment.

Vers 15 h will start a parade
which will end at Cours Saint-Pierre again and will be followed by “speech by Breton personalities” and a fest-deiz. The end of the mobilization is scheduled for 8 p.m.

105,000 signatures for the petition

To support its requests, Bretagne Réunie recalls having collected “105,000 signatures from voters from Loire-Atlantique-Pays nantais” in “their manual petition”.

We demand that political power finally begins the process which will allow democratic respect for the integrity of the Breton territory from Brest to Clisson and from Quimper to Fougères.

“We ask deputies and senators to legislate in compliance with international charters and textsand to respond favorably to the questionnaire from a center of Breton associations,” wrote the association.
