This month of October, the Fédération Française de Randonnée du Gard, chaired by Annick Delbos, is mobilizing for Pink October, an initiative dedicated to the prevention and screening of female cancers. Three local associations are actively participating in this cause:
- Friends of Serre Cavalier de Nîmes : This association organizes a pink day with a 5.5 km hike in the morning, followed by gymnastics and salsa activities. Registration costs €5, and the funds will be donated to the League Against Cancer. Departure is from the parking lot in front of the Généra town hall.
- Hikers at Vidourle de Sommières : In collaboration with the cancer gateway, this association also participates in Pink October.
- Association of Garrigues Sainte-Eulalie : Located ten kilometers from Uzès, this association organizes a 6 to 8 km hike, leaving at 2:30 p.m. in front of the town hall. After the hike, a tasting of early wines is offered.
These events aim to raise awareness and raise funds for the fight against women’s cancers. Come in large numbers to support this noble cause!
