AGRICULTURE / A new collection campaign will take place from Tuesday November 12 to Saturday November 23

– Hautes-Alpes –

46 tonnes of agricultural waste collected in 2023 in Hautes-Alpes. This is a record according to the Théüs and Avançon recycling centers which have been receiving them for six years, in partnership with the eco-organization ADIVALOR. Collection campaigns are organized twice a year “ to divert tons of waste from bulky items, i.e. landfill or incineration ».

A new one will take place from Tuesday November 12 to Saturday November 23. To be recycled, agricultural waste must be deposited in a recycling center and well packaged in suitable transparent bags provided free of charge on request to the recycling center guards. Silage tarpaulins, wrapping tarpaulins, strings and nets, big bags are accepted in both structures. That of Théüs also receives anti-hail nets, mulch tarpaulins (colored and clear), greenhouse covers and above-ground tarpaulins. The packaging instructions by category must be respected (in bundles, rolled, in balls, in bags, swept, shaken, folded) so that the waste is accepted and therefore recycled.
