MP Edwige Diaz at the head of an RN training plan to “achieve power”

“We have entered into a permanent campaign, possible legislative elections in nine months, municipal elections in 2026, the presidential election, then the regional and departmental elections. We are getting ready to achieve our goal: to come to power,” explains Edwige Diaz, National Rally (RN) deputy for Haute and vice-president of the party. She has just been entrusted by Jordan Bardella, president of the RN, with an ambitious training plan for future candidates of the far-right party, executives and activists (100,000 members to date). An increase in power to avoid the departures from the road encountered during the last legislative elections. “Professionalization will rule out the possible presence of bad apples. We are putting everything in place so that this doesn’t happen again,” she adds.

A work that she will carry out with the deputies Julien Odoul and Thomas Ménage, campaign co-directors of the next legislative elections, as well as the MEP Julien Sanchez, campaign director of the 2026 municipal elections. Campaign that the RN will launch in 2025. A pre-election commission investiture will take place at the end of the year. But those interested will have to be very discreet until the official inaugurations planned for early 2025: “We keep quiet, we prove ourselves and, afterward, we are invested,” specifies Edwige Diaz. One of the objectives of the RN is to strengthen local roots. To achieve this, only candidates who have participated in the municipal elections will be able to compete in the legislative elections. Those who are designated will have to follow several cycles of compulsory conferences linked to the RN program.

Media training

A continuing training plan, also mandatory, applies to new departmental delegates. It will be given by Edwige Diaz and MEP Alexandar Nikolic. For this upscaling of executives, a vast media training program will be organized under the leadership of MP Laurent Jacobelli, the party spokesperson supported by two former journalists converted to politics: Guillaume Bigot (ex-CNews, MP for the Territory de ) and Philippe Ballard (ex-LCI, deputy for Oise).

On the last stage of the rocket, “simple” activists will benefit from – non-mandatory – training on specific points of the program. The next one will focus on pensions. The RN will soon table a bill to repeal the starting age at 64. Finally, every week, Edwige Diaz will organize a videoconference with new members of the party. “We are dynamic, we have between 1,000 and 1,500 new memberships or renewals of memberships every week,” she explains. This training plan is part of our desire to achieve power. We did not win Matignon, but we are the first group in the Assembly. No text will pass without us, we can overthrow the government. We assume to be masters of the clocks. »
