The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, Nasser Bourita, received, Thursday in Rabat, Ambassador Albert Shingiro, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation of the Republic of Burundi .
Regarding the issue of the Moroccan Sahara, Albert Shingiro reiterated the constant position of the Republic of Burundi in favor of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Morocco over its entire territory, including the Sahara region. He also reiterated the support of the Republic of Burundi for the Autonomy Plan presented by the Kingdom of Morocco, as the only credible and realistic solution for the resolution of this regional dispute.
Shingiro also praised the efforts of the United Nations as the exclusive framework for achieving a realistic, practical and lasting solution to the dispute over the Sahara.
