An individual is fighting for his life after being hit by several firearm projectiles near Carrefour Laval early Thursday evening.
The victim, a man in his twenties, was quickly transported to a hospital center, but his life is still in danger, according to information from the Laval Police Service (SPL).
Around 5 p.m., the young man, who was outside his vehicle, was approached by one or more suspects who allegedly opened fire in his direction.
According to some sources, the victim’s partner was in the vehicle, but was not injured.
Police say the suspect(s) behind this attempted murder quickly fled after the event. The authorities are still looking for them.
Of course, at this time, the motives of the crime have still not been revealed by the authorities, but according to information from the Bureau of Investigation, the event could be linked to a cryptocurrency story.
