After causing numerous clashes, theintersection between the D1 and the D83 in Sainte-Geneviève-en-Bray, near Neufchâtel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime), sees its signage change.

Previously, the roads crossed in four giving way. Which is no longer the case today.

By decision of the department of Seine-Maritime, two stops were installed for drivers of the D83, arriving from the town center of Sainte-Geneviève, or the D915.

“In view of the clashes that there was in the past, we had to act, explains Robert Gressier, mayor of the town. This change is being implemented to ensure the user safetythey are aware of it. »

The D83 in the prohibited direction

In addition to the change in signage, the D83 going back towards the D915 is now in prohibited meaning.

“We will see in the long term if this solution is the right one,” says the mayor. And added: “I hope so, because it’s funny when there’s an accident and the helicopter arrives. »
