After several months of development and renovation work, the Oujda Stadium of Honor is preparing to welcome the Moroccan national team for two matches against the Central African Republic, scheduled for Saturday October 12 and Tuesday October 15.

These matches count for the 3rd and 4th days of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (CAN), the 2025 edition of which will take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
With a capacity of almost 20.000 placesthe stadium benefited, between 2019 and 2024, from numerous renovations which affected different aspects of its infrastructure. Major improvements include modernizing lighting, renovating the pitch, strengthening the stadium structure and installing more modern equipment. This work is part of a larger rehabilitation plan, aimed at transforming the stadium into an enclosure covered with a capacity of 45,000 spectators in the future.
Saturday’s match, which will start at 8 p.m., will therefore mark the first major international confrontation in this redeveloped stadium.
