Pas-de-Calais firefighters save a cow that fell into a stream in Verchin

Fourteen firefighters from Pas-de-Calais intervened in Verchin on Wednesday evening around 7:30 p.m. to rescue a cow. The animal had fallen into a stream, rue de Lugy. Firefighters called in water rescue teams and the rescue support and search unit.

The bovine was able to be brought back to the bank after several hours of intervention using a strap. The cow is safe and sound. On their Facebook page, the firefighters remind that “every life counts, even animal life, our teams are ready to intervene in all situations.”
