Alleged rape of a prostitute by a police officer: three defendants

Three police officers were placed under investigation for the case of the alleged rape of a prostitute by an officer in 2018. Prosecutor General Olivier Jornot suspects them of having committed a criminal offense, announces RTS. They will be heard at the beginning of November, during a confrontation hearing. This is the result of several months of investigation carried out by the police, the General Inspectorate of Services (IGS), following the radio and television revelations in August 2023.

In April 2018, a prostitute said she was raped and held captive in the car of a client, who was an off-duty police officer. According to her account, she was then bribed to keep quiet during a face-to-face meeting with her alleged attacker, a commissioner and a police officer. She finally filed a complaint in September 2023. The public prosecutor did not specify what offenses the three defendants are accused of. Questioned by RTS, the lawyer for the IGS agent, Me Robert Assaël, contests any failure on the part of his client (now retired, just like the commissioner).
