Glovo Morocco inaugurates its new headquarters in Casablanca

Glovo Morocco, the on-demand delivery technology platform, inaugurated its new headquarters in Casablanca during a ceremony in the presence of Oscar Pierre, CEO and founder of Glovo, as well as the platform’s partners.

This event, which coincides with the celebration of Glovo’s 6th anniversary in Morocco, was an opportunity to present an economic and social impact report produced by the international Statista institute, entitled “The Yellow Effect”. This report traces the platform’s achievements in the country, according to a company press release.

“These six years of presence in Morocco have been marked by numerous successes, particularly in terms of digital transformation and support for Moroccan businesses. We have grown alongside Moroccans, constantly innovating to meet their needs and creating a lasting economic and social impact on our ecosystem,” said Hamza Naciri Bennani, Managing Director of Glovo Maroc, quoted in the press release.

He added: “Our commitment for the years to come is to continue building on these strong foundations, strengthening our partnerships and exploring new opportunities to help strengthen our ecosystem. »

Over the past six years, Glovo has established itself as a key player in digital transformation, opening a new path of growth and inclusion for the local economic fabric while revolutionizing the consumption habits of Moroccans.

“The Yellow Effect” report, presented at the event, highlighted the concrete role that Glovo has played in the development of the retail and restaurant sectors, as well as in promoting digital and financial inclusion .

According to report data, in 2023, Glovo and its partners generated an economic value of 2.64 billion dirhams in Morocco via the Glovo platform. This economic value made it possible to secure 8,622 full-time equivalent employment opportunities in 2023, strongly contributing to the reduction of the informal economy and promoting financial inclusion in the catering and commerce sectors, as well as in the agricultural and industrial thanks to an indirect effect.

Today, more than 5,500 couriers use the platform across the Kingdom to generate income with complete flexibility. In addition, they benefit from social security coverage provided by Glovo, which includes individual insurance, premiums in the event of illness, as well as a training and apprenticeship program.
