Metropolis of . We know when work will begin on the high-level service bus between Part-Dieu and Sept-Chemins

The tramway is popular at the moment with the construction of two new lines (T9 and T10) and the extension of a third (T6). But the other major transport project to come in the metropolis is the future high-level service bus line (call it BHNS), which will connect Part-Dieu to Sept-Chemins, ultimately from , Vaulx-en-Velin and Décines-Charpieu.

5.8 km of new tracks

The organizing authority for public transport in Lyon, Sytral Mobilités, has just appointed the company which will carry out the construction of this 7.7 km line, including 5.8 km of new tracks, which will notably cross . and Lyon 3rd. The public works company Colas, in a consortium with two of its subsidiaries, Perrier and Aximum, was selected. The cost of the project is 61.6 million euros, including 52.5 million for Colas.

31 months of work

The future line will be punctuated by 16 stations. Avenues Félix-Faure and the Route de Genas, which the future BRT must take, have been under construction for almost a year due to network movements, but construction work on the line will actually begin in mid-October for a duration of 31 months. They will mobilize up to 250 employees, specifies Colas, a subsidiary of the Bouygues group, in a press release.

“Clear permeable coatings”

The contract provides that the Aximum company provides urban construction site marking services. The Colas teams will, for their part, provide road and network services as well as sanitation.

In an approach to respect the environment, the group is committed to reducing the carbon footprint of operations by using “clear permeable coatings made from biosourced binders”.
