“A lady told me that she didn’t sleep all night because she doesn’t know what sauce she’s going to be eaten with.” Health professional in a senior residence Les Girandières in Isère, Marie ensures that the subject concerns residents. “There is worry because they don’t know if they will have to find other accommodation, she says. They have all already sold their house and moved, they don’t see themselves packing up again.” In the department, there are six Les Girandières residences, such as Voiron, Bourgoin-Jallieu and Échirolles.
Towards a total recovery?
For several months, the senior residence branch of the Réside Études group has been in receivership. The Paris commercial court was due to rule on the case this Monday, October 7, but the hearing was postponed until November 4. “The discussions were not ripe to allow the court to choose one or more buyers,” explains Nathalie Hamet de Clouet, lawyer for the landlords.
A deadline which should allow new buyers to come forward according to the lawyer: “It seems that several buyers, not yet declared, could come forward in the coming days. One of them would offer to take over all the residences.” When contacted, an establishment director said she was confident about the resumption of her residence. The Réside Études group did not respond to our request.
