Alert gourmets, the Jardin Sucré has opened its chocolate factory and tea room in Dampierre, a stone’s throw from the castle. A new page is opening for the couple who are already delighting us in Cernay-la-Ville and in . We head to the old Auberge Saint-Pierre which is coming back to life with this opening.

Auberge Saint-Pierre comes back to life and it’s a chocolate factorytea room which comes to bring renewal to this historic place of Dampierre which once made gourmets happy. Mélanie and Arnaud Mathez, whom we already know well since they delight us with their pastries and delicacies in Cernay-la-Ville and Paris at Jardin Sucré, have decided to continue to bewitch us.

So, since the end of September, a stone’s throw from the Dampierre Castlewhich offers itself a new lease of life, opens up to us a new landmark for lovers of chocolates divine. There is a fine selection of artisanal chocolates of all kinds, ranging from marshmallows chocolat to bars, including candies and other pastries and chocolate pastries. Added to this is a nice range of ice creams and spreads.

And that’s not all since this beautiful space now hosts a tea room the coziest. It must be said that with its exposed beams, its floral patterns, its vintage pendant lights and its wooden seats, enhanced by a country decoration, we just want to settle down there.

On the menu, we find a selection of the house’s flagship pastries such as the essential Pistachio Tart or even the Vanilla tart. Added to this, seasonal proposals and a Lost brioche which delights passing gourmets. Don’t necessarily expect to find all the pastry delicacies. That said, there is however something to delight the taste buds. There are travel cakes based around chocolate such as flankies, cookies, pains aux chocolat and even madeleines.

The menu reveals a fine selection of cold drinks or hotmade with local and seasonal fruits, spices and flower infusions. The coffee is roasted by Arlo’s Coffee, located in . A selection of teas, an affogato (coffee and vanilla ice cream) for those with a sweet tooth, hot chocolates including a Viennese version or even a spicy version reminiscent of Christmas, this is something to have a good time.

The boutique-tea room is open every day except Monday. Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

So, whether you are visiting the Domaine de Dampierre, passing by on a motorbike in search of a cold drink, on a hiking trip along the Maincourt trail, or simply discovering this charming village, here is a gourmet stop worth noting in your to-do list.
