Seine-et-Marne. A woman found dead on the road, a young motorist in police custody

A woman was found dead on a road, in Lesigny (Seine-et-Marne), on the night of Saturday October 5 to Sunday October 6, 2024, reports “Le Parisien”. A young motorist admitted to having driven over her, saying that she was already on the ground when he arrived and that he had not noticed that it was a person. He was taken into custody.

A woman aged around fifty was found dead on a road in Lesigny (Seine-et-Marne), on the night of Saturday October 5 to Sunday October 6, 2024, shortly after midnight. A man aged around twenty was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody, reports The Parisian . He admitted to having crushed the victim but, according to his statements, the latter was already on the ground. While it was dark, he believed it was a material obstacle and could not have avoided it due to the narrowness of the street.

It was only after stopping a little further that he would have noticed that it was a woman. An investigation has been opened and an autopsy of the body must take place.
