The Rested has undergone its transformation. The transformation work on this emblematic Liffré estate (Ille-et-Vilaine)bought in 2023 by Christelle Travers, at the head of two Ibis hotels in Cesson-Sévigné (Beaulieu and la Rigourdière), lasted almost a year and a half, from spring 2023 to the start of the 2024 school year.

The site, which extends over nearly 2,5 hectaresreopened in two stages. First at the beginning of July for part. Then the other a few days ago.

There are still a few arrangements to be made at the entrance to the main building, three signs to be installed and finalizations to be made on the stairs. But the makeover of the entire complex is coming to an end.

The interior of the main building, which housed the restaurant and rooms of thehôtelwas extended by 30m2 east side. On two levels, it has 23 rooms (including suites).

On the ground floor, the restaurantcalled La table de François, has been enlarged and offers nearly 200 seats (Monday to Friday) with a private room and billiards room.

Audit

In place of the tennis court grew a playground for children and picnicas well as a bowling alley. The car park has been greened with 95 parking spaces and electric charging stations.

To the east of the estate, a new 750m building2 (CapEvents) was built with a 400m modular room2 able to accommodate nearly 200 people for meetingsof the seminars or weddingswith an “acoustic airlock” between the room and the outside.

To the north of the main building, nine rooms have been fitted out in the former Bretonnière, renamed Adeloine.

The building located to the west of the estate now houses a relaxation area (Evelyne lounge) with a meeting room that can be transformed into hair salon for the bride and groom, but also sauna, hammam, jacuzzi and a bedroom upstairs.

The management of La Reposée is satisfied with the reopening after a year and a half of work.

It was relentless, there were hazards and a construction site in the rain. The companies worked well and played the game.

Margaux Dos Prazeres, communications manager for the establishment

In February 2023, management was counting on an investment of €7M. The total cost of the operation has not been communicated.

Last June, the estate organized a job dating to carry out team recruitment. Around fifteen employees are currently employed.

There now remains an important deadline to achieve: pass an audit so that the hotel moves upmarket. “We are aiming for 4 stars”, targets Margaux Dos Prazeres.
