Kaolack, Oct 5 (APS) – Three people were killed in a traffic accident that occurred Friday evening, on national road number 4 (RN4), in the department of Nioro du Rip, APS learned from the commander of the 31th fire and rescue company of the national fire brigade of Kaolack (center).
According to Commander Yahya Mané, it was a collision between a private vehicle and a truck, which occurred around 9:26 p.m., near the village of Sanguile Sérère, on the Trans-Gambian highway.
Three injured people were counted by firefighters who arrived on the scene ten minutes after the accident.
The rescuers of the 31th fire and rescue company of the national fire brigade of Kaolack found three dead bodies and three injured on site.
All the victims were in the private vehicle. The deceased were transported to the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Regional Hospital Center (CHREIN) in Kaolack.
The gendarmerie has opened an investigation to determine the true causes of this fatal accident.
