One dead after a fire in a house in a town in Bas-Rhin

The fire started early this morning of October 4 in a house in Fegersheim, in Bas-Rhin. A 70-year-old man died despite the arrival of emergency services.

A fatal fire broke out in Fegersheim, a town in Bas-Rhin with more than 5,000 inhabitants, this Friday, October 4. Firefighters arrived on scene shortly before 7 a.m. It was a bedroom fire, in a house with two apartments.

The victim is a 70-year-old man, extracted from the burning house by firefighters, but declared dead by the doctor on site after the assessment. The fire required the mobilization of 23 firefighters to bring the fire under control.
