Unemployment rate stable at the end of September

At the end of September, 1,983 job seekers were registered with the Jura ORP, including 1,487 unemployed and 496 non-unemployed job seekers.

This represents 6 fewer unemployed people than at the end of August, as well as an unemployment rate of 4.1%, stable compared to the previous month.

In annual variation, this same unemployment rate shows an increase of 0.8 pt.

All job seekers monitored by the ORP increased by 16 people compared to the end of August and represent 5.5% of the active population domiciled in Jura.

In total, the ORP opened 225 jobseeker files and closed 209 in September.

The unemployment rate is 4.5% in the district of Delémont, 4.4% in that of Porrentruy and 2.2% in that of Franches-Montagnes.

Nationally, the unemployment rate increased by 0.1pt. At the end of September, it stood at 2.5%.

Concerning reductions in working hours (RHT), 50 companies were authorized to use them in September, i.e. 5 more than in August (45).
