Alternative measures not respected
Presented in mid-June to an investigating judge, Loïc is charged with having made contact with a minor and having suggested a meeting with the latter. But the judge is lenient and decides to give the accused a chance, subject to compliance with evidentiary measures. “Since his social life was extremely limited, we tried to make him more active in everyday life“, summarizes the substitute Vervaeren. Among the conditions to be respected, Loïc had to do a sporting activity and above all no longer hunt on the net.
Loïc wisely remained inactive for less than a month, since in mid-July, the non-profit organization which had already denounced him resumed contact with the justice system since the suspect was once again active on social networks. And on December 12, a second minor filed a complaint against Loïc, after having spoken with the latter. And a 17-year-old girl also denounces a rape at the home of the accused, where a whip and vibrators were allegedly used by Loïc. “A live broadcast was broadcast on TikTok where we see the minor in a drunken state. If for the first sexual relationship, she was consenting, for the others she seems to have been under the influence of drink and Temesta“, retains the prosecution.
“Love at first sight”
This Wednesday morning, in front of the three-judge chamber, Loïc explained the alleged facts. Concerning the discussions on the Internet with the two minors, Loïc confirms that he was aware of the age of one of the victims since he sent an email to the parents of the victim in order to have their approval in relation to the relationship established with the young girl. For the other victim, “no memory”, replies the inmate. Concerning the rape and the administration of medication to the third minor, Loïc strongly contests and speaks of love at first sight during the meeting at Charleroi-Central station. “She started drinking on her own after the first sexual encounter, because she couldn’t sleep. We were a couple, after love at first sight at the station“, confirms the suspect.
At the prosecution, deputy Vervaeren is concerned about the personality of the defendant, labeled “predator” by the magistrate. “To remove the accused from society for a while”, an eight-year prison sentence is requested. For Me Huwart, for the defense, the only problem in the case concerns the rape. During hearing, the victim confirmed that the defendant tried things, but that he stopped as soon as there was a refusal and that she was under medical treatment to be able to sleep. Which would explain the presence of Temesta in the young girl’s body, the lawyer says. To take stock of this famous medical treatment, the file is continued until October 16.
