Why do bras decorate this town in Seine-Maritime?

It’s a rather atypical garland which has just been hung at the Big Sales. The municipality’s technical services installed around thirty bras on Wednesday October 2, 2024 in front of the town hall.

“This year for Pink October I wanted to innovate and challenge to encourage more screening of cancer be you“, explain Nicolas Bertrand mayor of Grandes-Ventes.

The cables, usually used to decorate the town according to various themes during the summer, found a new use until the end of October.

But nothing would have been possible without the help of Nathalie Grandpierre from Cord 76, the Collectif Octobre Rose Dieppois. After the appeal launched by the president, the donations were collected within a few days.

A walk and a run for Pink October

A gathering is also planned as part of the pink month on Saturday October 19, 2024. A run and a walkwill be held from 10:30 a.m., departing from the town hall square.

All registration funds amounting to €5 and the sale of t-shirts, at the same price, will be donated to Cord76 which will be on site on the day of the event.
