asks its nationals to “leave Iranian territory as quickly as possible as soon as the airspace is open”.

In a publication made on Wednesday on its website, the French diplomatic representation also urges its “non-resident” nationals to absolutely refrain from coming to Iran.

“For those who find themselves there despite everything, it is recommended to limit their movements, avoid any gatherings and leave Iranian territory as quickly as possible as soon as the airspace is open,” it is specified.

Regarding residents in Iran, it is recommended that those “who have the possibility, and as soon as international air traffic resumes, temporarily leave the country.”

These instructions came while President Emmanuel Macron chaired a defense and national security council on Tuesday evening concerning the situation in the Middle East.

In a press release published immediately, the Elysée indicated that the head of state “expressed France’s desire to act for Lebanon” and “asked that Israel put an end to its military operations”, judging “that too many civilians are already victims”.

Emmanuel Macron also “condemned with the greatest firmness the new attacks by Iran against Israel”.

The presidency announced in this regard that “France has mobilized its military resources in the Middle East to counter the Iranian threat” in the evening of Tuesday to Wednesday.

As a reminder, nearly 200 missiles were fired towards Israel by Iran, Tel Aviv announced Tuesday evening.

For their part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards indicated in a press release that they had struck “targets” in Israel with “dozens” of missiles, to avenge Hassan Nasrallah – the secretary general of Lebanese Hezbollah – and Ismail Haniyeh, the leader from the Hamas political office.
