Salé: Presentation of the Friday Preches Prize to the winners from Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima

Salé – The ceremony for awarding the Friday Preaching Prize (Khotab minbariya) to the winning preachers from the regions of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima was organized on Tuesday in Salé by the Superior Council of Ulemas.

Thus, the Honorary Prizes were awarded to 16 preachers selected by the local Councils of Ulemas of the two regions during this 5th edition of the Friday Preaching Prize, organized by the Superior Council of Ulemas for the year 1445 AH, in order to motivate them and encourage them to improve their performance.

Furthermore, the National Prize for Friday sermons, awarded by the Superior Council of Ulemas to the best preachers nationally, was awarded to Sidi Abderrahman Alioui, imam of the Omar Ibn Al-Khattab mosque at the Prefecture of districts Al Fida-Mers Sultan.

On this occasion, the president of the Regional Council of Ulemas of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, Mohamed Asban, indicated that the presentation of this prize is part of the continued attention of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Amir Al Mouminine, surrounds religious officials in general and Friday preachers in particular.

And to emphasize that “the aim of the Friday sermon is to soften hearts, educate souls, inspire good behavior and guide people towards a peaceful life imbued with faith, security, serenity, love, compassion and peace”.

For his part, the president of the Regional Council of Ulemas of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Mohammed Gennoun Al Hassani, considered that this distinction constitutes an important step in the attention paid to preachers, who occupy a privileged place within the Company.

The winners of this prize were selected on the basis of their high level of knowledge, their ability to interact with all social categories and their ability to promote harmony between individuals, he noted.
