The Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) wishes to encourage private initiatives in the field of electric mobility. It chose five companies in a tender to build fast charging hubs near national roads.
These are five lots spread throughout Switzerland and each made up of eleven plots. FEDRO received a total of seven applications and awarded lots to five of them. These are Fastned Switzerland, Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging Europe, Atlante Italia, Electra Charging Switzerland and GOFAST.
Companies have three years to plan the fast charging hubs and apply for a building permit, FEDRO said in a statement on Tuesday. They are responsible for the planning, financing, construction, electrical connection, operation and maintenance of the facilities.
The call for projects is part of the roadmap for electric mobility 2025. A network of fast charging stations is already being developed on national roads, on the one hand at refueling areas and on the other hand at transport areas. rest.
