The festive space, eagerly awaited by the inhabitants of Herbignac (municipality of Loire-Atlantique on the border of Morbihan) will officially open its doors on January 15, 2025, on the occasion of the wishes of the mayor, Christelle Chassé.

Numerous malfunctions

“This equipment is delayed by a year for its delivery, which we are unfortunately experiencing and which is due to a company which installs the exterior frames and glazing. Delivery is planned for the end of the year,” announces the elected official.

The project started in summer 2021 and was due to be delivered in summer 2023.

The numerous dysfunctions of this company have blocked many other trades. It is the same company that was deliberately chosen for the other major project in the commune, which is located right next door: that of the intercommunal swimming pool.

Result: the aquatic area which should have initially welcomed its first swimmers in September 2023, will not be delivered until spring 2025.

For the festive area, “after lengthy assessments to identify the defects and the termination of the contract at the expense of this failing company, it was necessary to relaunch a market,” explains Antoine Ninet, director of technical services at Herbignac.

“Three companies responded, but only one was selected: Erdralu. Fortunately, she agreed to take over this batch and starts in September. »

A telescopic stand

For a total cost of €4.50 million, this festive space will be able to accommodate 388 people over 814 m².

It will be for individuals and professionals, associations, entertainment professionals and cultural actors. It has a long reception hall of 90 m², with ticketing area and bar, the large room of 343 m², with a stage of 70 m², equipped with a 24 m² screen and two dressing rooms.

This room will have a telescopic stand with 140 seats. The festive space also includes a 50 m² meeting room, a 50 m² catering office and an outdoor space with terrace.
