normal traffic on the metro, slight disruptions on the Transilien and the RER

Despite the national strike movement observed this Tuesday, October 1, the RATP expects normal traffic on the entire metro and tram network. Slight disruptions are expected on the Transilien and RER lines.

While an inter-union is calling this Tuesday, October 1 for a day of strike in favor of salaries and pensions at the national level, the RATP announced this Monday, October 30 that traffic will be normal on its entire network, particularly on the metro and tram.

However, some disruptions are planned on the Transilien lines J, L et N and those of the RER D et E, operated by SNCF.

On line D, two trains out of three are expected this Tuesday while on line N, SNCF announces three trains out of four on average.

Normal traffic for TGVs

Furthermore, traffic will be “normal” on TGV links while “some traffic could be slightly disrupted on certain regional trains (TER, Transilien) as well as certain Intercity links”, according to SNCF.

The CGT, Solidaires and FSU have launched a call for a strike and demonstration this Tuesday to demand the repeal of the pension reform and an increase in wages. “It’s the return match against the pension reform,” assured last week the number one of the CGT, Sophie Binet. The CFDT, on the other hand, did not call for a strike that day.
