Kédougou September 29 (APS) – Boubacar Sissoko alias ”Thieuz” was unanimously elected on Sunday at the head of the Cultural Sports Association (ASC) of the Gazelle of Kédougou on the sidelines of a general assembly which lasted half a day, APS noted.
“It is a feeling of satisfaction and pride to be at the head of the Gazelle team to play our part for the development of football in the Kédougou region,” he declared. after being installed in his position by the regional sports inspector of Kédougou, Cheikh Tidiane Camara.
The new president of the Gazelle announced that his mandate will be placed under the seal of the promotion and development of football throughout the Kédougou region.
”That each of us fully assumes the small mission is his responsibility and if we do it, after four years and I think we will see the evolution of the team because the objective behind it is to sell a Gazelle player at international level,” he said.
Boubacar Sissoko affirmed that this mandate will also “complete the work of the old team and continue to make the Gazelle, what it has never ceased to be.
Mr. Sissoko invited the youth and all nationals of Kédougou to get involved in the management of the club in order to make the Gazelle a historic team looking towards the future.
He also invited local authorities and mining companies operating in the Kédougou region to financially support the Gazelle in order to put all players in good conditions in preparation for the National Championship or Regional Football League.
ASC Gazelle is a club from the city of Kédougou which has been playing in national 1 (N1) since the last season of the championship.
