Football: Petit Poucet de Dordogne leaves the Coupe de with honors

The Condatois had difficulty putting the danger on the Corrèze goal.

Condat-sur-Vézère (Departmental 3) was unable to erase the four divisions gap compared to Saint-Pantaléon-de-Larche (Regional 2), this Sunday (0-2). But the Condatois and their audience lived up to the event.

LThe party must have been beautiful. With 350 spectators around the handrail of the Condat-sur-Vézère stadium, it was, even if the Condatois were unable to create the feat, or even score a goal. But with four divisions apart, a mountain stood before them.

The start of the match was thus logically to the advantage of Saint-Pantaléon, who monopolized the ball. From the 3rd minute, Julien Dorat, the local goalkeeper, stood out. In the process, after a succession of corners, he had to intervene in front of Joan Bouchut, who had infiltrated his defense.

However, the Corréziens lacked accuracy and then had difficulty in setting the goal. So Condat gained confidence and tried to put the danger on Perriot’s goal. El Ayouni inherited a ball on the edge of the area but his low shot was slightly diverted and grazed the post (30th).

The visitors, for their part, wasted again on a free kick that Thomas Jammet sent over, or on the numerous balls behind the Condatoise defense. Thus, Teixeira missed his lob attempt from 16 meters (35th). And Dorat pushed back a header following an off-center free kick, before his defense cleared the danger (39th).

Condat ended up giving in

The start of the second half was more balanced. But in the 58th minute, on a powerful cross in front of the goal, center forward Tomy Denoix scored with his chest, although he undoubtedly wanted to control. Saint-Pantaléon was not content with this advantage and Texeira saw his shot hit the crossbar, before Dorat stopped a powerful header.

But the Corréziens ended up being rewarded when a one-two allowed Roche to slip the ball out of Dorat’s reach (0-2, 80th). Enough to seal a logical qualification for Saint-Pantaléon. All in an excellent state of mind as the two teams and the referees left the field under mutual guards of honor. The football we love.
