Last Minute Special Request: The Don will cook for Billie Eilish and her team

Quite an honor for the restaurant Le Don in Quebec City, whose dishes will be tasted by none other than Billie Eilish and her team this evening. They have ordered around forty portions and the dishes will be prepared to order, directly on site, at the Videotron Center.

Although the restaurant will set up shop in the lobby to serve gluten-free vegan tacos on Sunday, the unexpected additional order came directly from the artist’s entourage yesterday.

“I received the call yesterday and was asked if it was possible to finally make dishes for them. It wasn’t really a question. It was already a yes no matter what it was going to take,” explains the chef, Anne-Marie Grenier.

“He is an icon of music, but also of veganism. It’s truly an honor and a great recognition to be able to prepare dishes for her and her team. We don’t know if we’ll be able to meet her though,” she adds.

Some dishes

Among the dishes that will be prepared, we find agnolottis, mushroom risotto and Caesar salad.

A dessert platter will also be prepared especially for the 22-year-old sensation. The latter will include, among other things, sweet specialties from the restaurant such as puding chômeur and Don cake, but also chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes.

“We are in the juice today, but we are so happy to do it and we could not miss such an opportunity,” expressed the chef, visibly very happy with her mandate.

Even more campers

At the Videotron Center, the number of campers continued to increase on Saturday. General admission ticket holders numbered more than 200 shortly after dinner time, all ready to wait until the doors opened on Sunday.

It will also be a second night this evening for some of them who were already there yesterday morning. One thing is certain, it is that they are ready to do anything to be in the best boxes to see their idol.

At least a hundred amateurs should also be added to them by the end of the day. Up to a thousand people were expected to join the campers over the weekend. In total, around 2,000 general admission seats were sold.
