Sunday September 29, 2024 marks the return to the city center of Nimes (Gard) of the Saint-Michel fair.

Between 60 and 70 traders announced

Supported by the municipality, the event contributes to the revitalization of center commerce.

Well known to the Gardois, the fair has existed for more than a century and takes place every year near Place Jules-Guesde.

“It’s a real beautiful popular festival. You can find everything there, textiles, arts and crafts, leather goods, regional products, etc. I think I will go for a walk with my children,” said Jérôme, an urban planner who has lived in Nîmes for more than 15 years.

A real open-air clearance sale

Established since 1922 on Avenue Jean-Jaurès, this commercial event was formerly called “the garlic and broom fair”.

This fair brings together every year several thousand people from Nîmes in the city center of the capital of Gard.
